NAPA is an hour away from me and wants in-store pickup only. Is the stuff at 1A Auto any good? (The price suggests that it may not be, as in too good to be true.)

Any other ideas? And, hey - at least I haven't mentioned AutoZone yet.

How soon do you need them? My rear brakes are from Advance/Carquest and they've been fine, whatever the highest line is.

If you're not in a huge hurry I'd do rockauto. Most options of anywhere.

How about these: POWER STOP K2162

I'm not in a super hurry. (Good thing, because just navigating their site is a time-burner.) :icon_razz:

I'd avoid slotted or drilled rotors, not really beneficial on a KJ and actually has some draw backs.

Never mind. I created an account at NAPA and can now get stuff shipped.

The Reactive One here have slots. What about the Premium vs Ultra Premium?

I'll order these right now if I can.

it's up to you w/ the rotors.
made in china vs made in usa.
Premium has a tighter tolerance as well.

I believe most here recommend adaptive one ceramic pads.

Reactive One's?

They have $30, $56 and $76. Quite a spread.

also is 10% off worth it to drive to and from NAPA?
Yes, since their dumb stupid website suddenly discovered a store right down the road. When I checked the other day they told me the nearest store was 50 miles away.

napa premium vs ultra premium.

If there's a napa close to you. use the reserve and pickup 10% off. it's on every month for a few weeks so if u miss it this month you can wait till nxt month.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Is the big price difference worth it?

i went w/ the premium in the front with adaptive ones pad and my experience have been fine.
YMMV.
It's up to you imho.

I'd do the same again for the rears but might be trying different pads.

Maybe it just grew out of the ground and opened  Napa reproduces by budding.

The adaptive one stuff gets good reviews, but I think if you went with the premium line, you'd be happy and that would still match or beat stock. Or even do the premium on the rear and Adaptive ones on the front.

Quick question as I am in the process of ordering these:

The rotors are obviously priced for one and you need a pair for each axle. The pads seem to come in sets of fours, so one pack for each axle, right?

the adaptive one pads will come with the pad clips and grease.

From a recent thread, i think it was encouraged to also replace the slide pins as well.

The description on the website has this little note on it saying "Important Info: Contains Hardware". Guess it wasn't important enough to provide any more detail than that... :emotions33:

What are slide pins? (Can you tell I'm new at this?)

btw recheck napaonline again.
I received an email about the reserve an pickup 10% off
I did not get that offer. I suspect that may be because some of the things were not in stock at my local store. I guess they figured that since they'd have to be shipping it anyway they might as well ship it straight to me, which is OK. They did give me flat-rate shipping of $7.95 for the whole works, which is not bad.
