Okay, not a big deal but Got tired of carrying two different size lug wrenches and using two different size compact sockets.

Color me ignorant but did Jeep really use 2 different size lug nuts on some years and models?

I have a 2" lift on my truck - rear shocks are the longer Bilstein #33-185859. The front is technically not a strut but a shock with a coil over spring.
So how did you determine this shock part number, there for a dakota. I seen others mention this one and others. There not that cheap so If I go with these, I want to make sure they are the right ones for the OME948 rear springs. I think most are running the 927/948

Probably compared the end pin/bushing types on each end, and the min/max on the length when compressed and extended. This is what everyone does when they have modified their suspension and the new stuff didn't all come from the same manufacturer

No, they fitted stupid chrome covers on cheap steel nuts, they fall off over time, once they come off you need an 18mm socket instead of a 19mm. I've swapped mine out for some solid stainless ones, look a bit smarter too!

That's a McPherson strut you're describing. Rest assured, the KJ DOES use front struts. At leaat my 05 does. They aren't a McPherson strut, no, in that it's not an alignment/structural part of the assemblage.
This is the dumbest argument that keeps reoccurring because who cares, but I'll chime in for fun. By definition it is a coilover shock. It provides no suspension structure. You could drive a liberty around on the bump stops, but a strut equipped vehicle could not. Yes I know almost every manufacturer calls it a strut, but that's because of the way it mounts at the bottom. Most importantly, who cares?

So, clearly something is going on with my left front wheel speed sensor.
The question is, what. It works perfectly fine once driving, but a-periodically on start up its glitcihing.

I'm hoping it's just the sensor.

A sensor or a cracked wire one of my rears has a short or wire break havent found it yet I know in rear a common spot is right where the loom goes into the body, but it drives normal. Some higher end scanners can do a wire test and give approx feet where signal drops to make it easier to find. I dont have a fancy scanner though. Might check the shop when they do my rear control arm, just dont want high bill for diags so on fence i have to get a price from them first if theirs can do it.

Didn't do much with the Jeep today but I've bought a Land-rover to replace it. Sadly the auto box flaring in 4th is the end of the line for the old CRD, it's been fun.
What year and so on the LR.

2012 Freelander 2.2 diesel manual, needs a service and a wheel bearing. One if the guys at work decided he wanted something cheaper to run so it was an easy buy, he even drove it to my house.

Was wondering if it was an old defender. Still pretty cool, guy I worked with had one of those from his dad and had to do alot of work on it but said it was a great car. Good luck I always wanted to learn more about diesel since I dont know much about them Ive stayed away all though recently added to my youtube watch list a guy doing a rebuild on CRD motor.Good luck hope it works out.

Welp…
The rains have come, and my sunroof drains were clogged.
I’ve got them cleared out and I’ve vacuumed up as much of the wet as I can for now.
