Thanks Bob!
I took a video of me taking the shroud out and explaining the process in case I ever forget the steps.
Very specific steps just to remove it.

The first and best mod I've done on the jeep.

Any other helpful mods?

Hmmm... Helpful mods?

Since you have a Limited you have most if not all of the stuff on yours that I added to mine (courtesy lights, EVIC, tow package, leather, etc) so not sure what I'd add that would be considered helpful. Now when you lift it and begin to see the need for armor, tow points, etc. I can add a few things to your list :waytogo:

I notched out my shroud this morning.
7" x 0.5" notch was barely enough get the shroud out.
The dimensions may vary depending on what clutch fan you have.

The goal is to notch it out enough to move it pass the clutch fan.

Now I can get to my oil pressure sender, lower rad hose and thermostat.

NOW I understand why you guys were cutting these!

This mod is in my radar since I will likely be doing some hauling very soon. The HD shroud replaces the e-shroud right?

PS - is there anything else that I'll need to complete the HD cooling setup?

The Jeep took a selfie today. Found a mirror for a tight turn on a service road to a dam I live close to. Perfect photo op.

vacuumed and cleaned the interior.

Went to HF to pick up a 27mm socket for the oil pressure sender and a set of nitrite o-rings to replace the o-rings on the ****** pressure sensor.

Going to cycle more DI water w/ the t-stat and change the oil pressure sender tomorrow. x.x

I think this thread's title should be changed to "what did you do for your jeep today".

Added coil-over helper shocks to the rear (4x4 Dakota application). Brought the rear up about 1". Firmed up the rear a bit, and should help with towing the utility trailer.

Last night, I drove the KJ out to a favorite smokehouse/game processor and picked up 3-4 lbs of various flavors of the best beef and buffalo jerky around, then headed out to catch the sunset at one of my favorite spots....

going to clean 'em up and fresh paint.

I need to do that one of these days...I think I'm still carrying about 150 lbs of the Utah west desert in my main skid! :icon_eek:

it was already iffy to begin with.
I think as I was getting out from under the jeep, I had my weight on my wrist while also pivoting on it. :(
Have it wrapped now w/ disposable chopsticks as splints.

BTW, I didn't get a chance to try the diy pressure transfer. :(
Had one of those quart/gallon bottle hand pumps.

how's 2 weeks of work going for ya?

Got the stupid green coolant flushed out and put in G05.
Put in new thermostat.

Also replaced the PCV with a MOPAR PCV. Thanks profdlp for the part!
Hopefully it "works" better than an off brand one.
x.x

washed the air box and put in a new filter.

almost done. Still got the rear diff and transfer case w/ the stuck fill plug.
