I did this before Xmas but seriously pull out all your AC vents and clean it if you haven't already.
Must be some serious caked on dirt in Pepper that caused one of the vents to not catch the side tab.

Just working on a few bumpers that I will eventually have to give away to their new parents......

I'm almost considering going full Export and removing the US spec bumper for a Euro one, and then mounting my plate in the spare tire. But the price for an Export Spare Tire cover is beyond ridiculous.

Been sick on the couch the last few days so today I fired up the jeep (without the block heater at 10 farenheight no problem) warmed it up for a few mins. Then took it for a long drive to improve the lady's mood as well as mine. Bounced off the red line a bunch of times after warming up then picked up groceries.

Mine ( the green 03 ) hit almost 5 grand last night about 5-6 times
Had a code show up, took care of the issue (I hope)
But had battery disconnected so went out to rebreak it in :icon_lol::icon_lol:
Miss living out in the country with nice long stretches to run them out a bit

Noticed a bit of rust around the AC Clutch, so got it now somewhat cleaned up..
Ran emery cloth on clutch gap and a few drops oil in between.
It was cold out a bit below freezing, and the clutch would not engage until engine temp hit 145F.
I ran the AC for a while and it is quiet now. It is a good thing to run you AC even in the winter.

Had a peek inside the under hood fuse panel. I was surprised to see that much sandy grit was getting past the cover.

Used some compressed air to blow the crap out, and Q-tip to get much more..

Ya I usually don't go nuts but if I learned anything from my first car (1996 subaru impreza wagonback) it is drive it hard and you can continue doing that until you sell it or it rusts away. We inherited another vehicle that was a to church on Sundays vehicle and was basically ready to die at 80k. The subaru had around 250K when i traded it in. Just the fact it had never been garaged sooo the engine was about to fall out of the bay due to rust. Ran fantastic though!

I drove to Reno in rain and slush today. I musta been hit half a dozen times with little rocks or pebbles. I'd hear them smack the window and I'd cringe and worry. My last stop was for gas on the way home. I looked and didn't see any chips or cracks. Got hit a couple more times before I finally arrived home in the dark. I hope the morning is good, with no expectant window repairs/replacement.

I read that as "My last stop was for GLASS on the way home. Glad I was wrong! :party52:

No leaks on injectors, no cracks in vacuum lines, throttle body now spotless and butterfly oiled at pivot points.
IAC removed & cleaned the pintle again. Some carbon was removed in the ports.
Battery terminals tightened, Pcv valve pulled and replaced with oil free one.
New coil packs were pulled again today, checked for present o-rings as one was MIA.
No dead critters or bugs found...ha ha..:icon_lol:

yesterday, took it to the range with 8 guns, 5000rnds of ammo, and the expectation of intro'ing guns to a newbie. he ****** up the directions/time and failed to make it, but at least I finished sighting in the kid's and my rifles. also... do NOT do an upper body workout the same day as going to the range. not conducive to accurate shooting of pistols.
