I've got one of those sitting here in my garage that I modded slightly to fit my '03. It's yours for $40 plus shipping if you want it.

OP is running a 04 CRD is there any difference in skids for the diesel?
JBL's 4x guard looks great.. prices well that is $$ for sure + shipping~~!

I have the OEM transmission skid & its ok but really.. could bend easily on a hard hit.

Tim, that's the one I upgraded to. It is very beefy - and covers a lot more of the transmission/undercarriage than the OEM skid I had on there before.

But for someone looking for some protection of the 'tinny' trans pan it could do the trick.

DOH!

I was using my phone at the time I posted that. Didn't look to see where the OP is from.

Oops :manos:

Ya that "tinny" is surely that now....
Since now I am also running a 1.5 quart over stock PML aluminum trans pan..
Some seriously beefy skid would serve me better no doubt!
Maybe I will also have a spare OEM trans skid 4 sale soon!
BTW I ran the KJ ******* some steep terrain last summer & for the first time, no trans light!
I also like the fact with a drain plug, I can easily swap ATF+4 after hard hot runs!

thanks guys,
I read in the forum that someone was able to install the skid plate, creating another hole and cut some additional pieces. enough that we can install if it is not too strong, then it does not matter, I'm off road light

* This August I will be on vacation in the United States.
I'll see you.
