I'm looking into getting a LSD or a Locker for the rear of my 04 KJ, it's 2WD, so I only need to do the rear. I don't know much about lockers/LSD's, so can some one give me some good advice on what is the best way to go for my needs? I'm going to do mostly road driving, I want it for inclement weather and the occasional pasture trip. Any info/parts suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

A lunchbox locker is reasonably low cost/easy install, follow instructions and they can be installed in a couple of hours in the driveway with min.tools.

The down side to auto lockers:
They lock up under power so when you skid both tires skid
And the rear slides to 1 side or the other FAST
Your turning will SUCK in wet grass ,basically the rear will
push you strait even with the wheel turned at full lock

The up side they work
IMO you would be better off selling the 2wd and buying
a 4wd
The 4wd will go places a locked 2wd can never go
and on road you will not even notice
