haha. 1 year from now i will bring my jeep cross country and prove i can do it with out lockers. your jeep can watch as i do everything and not get a single scratch.

If one year from now you don't have at least one locker on your rig, ThunderbirdJunkie will kick you square in the na-

Why a year and why cross country
where are you at?
I am sure some one near you has a locker and could show you why you need
them

yea eric has one and he seemed to have enough trouble.
cross country because tjkj isnt driving his jeep all the way over here when chances are i will be living somewhere completely different.

why? a vehicle with front flex would be fine on that drop.

oh and I can tell you for sure your rear wheel would be hanging

Look you are just like 95% of the JK owners I meet on the trail
and 100% of the time ,at some point they all say
"we are going UP that? is there another way? I doubt many will make it"
my answer
"sure we can make it watch ,and follow my tracks it is easy"
yet they still fail and my basically stock TJ makes it look easy
why? LOCKERS

why you need lockers
here 4 runner locked and geared ,33's and $1500 out of someone's yard
on the real trail
Real trail
no lockers
50' to the left ,driving up, "by pass"
a JK on what 37's
By pass
Just for the record I made the "real trail" in my basically stock but locked TJ on the last trip
I may have a pic some where

You don't NEED lockers. They just make things easier. You just NEED enough momentum. If at first you don't suceed, bump it until you do! :D

um ,yeah
not so much on these trails
the rocks ,ruts and roots will rip the axles from under your Jeep
did you not see the 4 runner dead stop?
any thing over 1 mph will destroy your rig

Guess you don't like your D30A much,sure way to blow it to pieces along with the rest of your drivetrain.

Lockers and a auto trans gives you ultimate control and if you know how to drive you rarely will ever break anything.

I'm all for lockers. I don't think I need them at this point. When the Libby is paid off and it can be down for a while with some trail carnage, the real fun will begin.

yea dont group me in with any group of jk owners. my first jeep/car/ anything was a liberty and thats always how it will be.
i never got stuck on anything like that. its about knowing how to drive. are there some things a locker will be needed on? yes. that? no. i have sra's and i dont even get wheel spin in mud or up rocks or anything like that.
tjkj, there is no water out there so i can understand why you guys all like rocks, but that isnt a trail its 900 feet and .2 miles of rocks. a trail takes you somewhere.

those were swampers on the 4 runner
he has 5.13 gears and was getting wheel spin
believe me when I tell you you will get owned by the trails that are being put
up by me and by tjkj if nothing else you will be limping off the trails on your rims as the SRA's will be destroyed by the rocks and roots

why do you think the challenge isnt up right now?
because i dont have the moeny to build my jeep up like that.
i havent seen his jeep do anything since it was built so for all we know something will break and he wont even get to try.

why do you need to "build it up"
at last check you can run 32's bone stock on a JK
all I am running is 32's on my TJ
so by your reasoning all you need is better tires
for that matter you can run 33's with a BB
you will have the same are close to the same diff clearance that he has
as he has a 44/60 combo and you have a 30/44 combo ,smaller pumpkins
he has more wheel base so he needs more lift for break over

build up. 2 skids, rails, rear bumper, and either rims and tires or spacers and tires.
