Sounds like a good option for those that balk at the price of a $750 OME/OME or with Bilstein setup that want 95% of the benefits of a good suspension. I probably would've went this way had it been out 1.5 years ago.

Its a real good option
I will be doing some testing of the rear springs to see what they will actually do just by themselves
Installed them the other day with the extras I have so not a good overall look

Tom,
Quick question, this kit is for KJ petrol only or would it fit a CRD?
Also for a CRD 2.5 that is 300Kg less than a CRD 2.8, the front springs rated 420lbs should just about be alright?! assuming you don't have a ARB bumper or a winch fitted.

Low down is ,its a good 2 inch or so lift
Ride is better than mine
handles well
looks good and overall I think is a good deal for the money
Simple as that
Can you make it a 3 plus lift, simple answer no
but for most it will work great
Mines setup for a true 4.25 inch lift
I didn't want to go through realignments etc
This lift will be going on another KJ soon for more testing

I do this on my own time, I don't get paid to do this, its a hobby
It has to be since most would not be in the garage on a 100 plus degree day installing a lift just to see how it does :whip: ha ha

Plus this is my only ride, I have to take a 500 plus mile trip this weekend , so due to not wanting to align I took it back off . Whats the big deal with everyone now saying Oh going the other way ???? Just don't understand

I will volunteer! :shrug: Worth a shot anyhow.

I don't understand why the folks with the all the knowledge have to be so damn RUDE! Obviously I'm new at this whole jeep thing. I'm here looking for knowledge and assistance in not wasting my hard earned money on a junk lift kit.

I try not to be rude and I am sorry if you think I am
But after you go through some things so many times and you get some of the responses that you do it makes it hard to be cudley
NOW I got the springs and shocks to install and do testing
I do it all on my own time but some think I should donate 24 hours a day intil its all done and there is 35,000 miles on it.
So if you just sit back and enjoy the ride we'll see how this new lift rides and lasts over the long haul.

the ride of these is firm but not overly harsh, just a very good ride
If you are looking for max height then this is not the one for you
If you want a good lift with say 2 - 2.25 inches of lift and able to run 245-75s with ease then I think this would be a good alternative to the OMEs and save some coin as well
The rear shocks which I have on now are stock length so they will be coming back off so I can get full flex out of mine
I hate it though due to the set up riding very good
I may look into cutting off the lower shock mounts and relocating them

and Ironman out back with three:disgust: extra isos per side

The height would be enough for a KJ. I will follow with big interest your experience with the lift.

Nice Jeep! Is it safe to have the clevis that far down on the base of the shock? I usually place the clevis all the way up to the base of the ring.
