Well they certainly look cool!
I know it's an optical illusion but the coils do look rather close together
like they will stack soon after moderate use.
Like I said, an optical illusion as the OME front coil springs look quite the
same after a couple of years of real off road use!

Sorry to ask a stupid question because most of you would know the answer: where can I order the red upper control arm and why is it better than the original OEM?
Upper control arms are from JeepinByAl
They have replaceable ball joints for one so way better than stock
Also these help with alignment issues when lifted
On a positive note
ride is very good on the Ironman lift
very smooth, takes bumps with no bouncing/hard hits etc very nice

Another question, Tom:
On the bottom of the shock there is a shoulder below the spring perch. Is that the 10mm 'trim packer' you mentioned? If not, what is a trim packer and where is it installed?
I see you added two rings to the clevis. Is that in addition to the trim packer to give you another 1/4" lift?
Like Ry said, the coils look tight but always tough to judge these things in pictures - could be the perspective, etc. Since the ride is smooth, not harsh I wonder if that is due to the progressive rate design versus the linear rate of the OME's...?

Not the same scale photo but they do look closer together. Guess the post alignment measurements will give some insight.

Ironman are very popular here in South Africa. Reasonable too - just over half was OME will set you back...

Hmmm that doesn't inspire confidence,lol. Was hoping to hear some reports on ride quality, etc. Think I'll play it safe and go OME.

What do you mean, they ride great, nice and smooth
I may put them back on but I didn't have everything to get it up to where I would not have to realign mine for a week or so then install mine again back to the alignment shop etc
NOW if you have the extra cash i will continue
If I was in the market and wanted a 2 inch lift I'd go for it !

Low down is ,its a good 2 inch or so lift
Ride is better than mine
handles well
looks good and overall I think is a good deal for the money

Can you make it a 3 plus lift, simple answer no
but for most it will work great
Mines setup for a true 4.25 inch lift
I didn't want to go through realignments etc
This lift will be going on another KJ soon for more testing
I do this on my own time, I don't get paid to do this, its a hobby
It has to be since most would not be in the garage on a 100 plus degree day installing a lift just to see how it does :whip: ha ha
Plus this is my only ride, I have to take a 500 plus mile trip this weekend , so due to not wanting to align I took it back off . Whats the big deal with everyone now saying Oh going the other way ???? Just don't understand
