Has anyone has had this issue. This is the pin in question,

It was a struggle to get it out of the caliper, and it won't go back in. The black bushing is riding up on the pin as I put it in the caliper,

Have these bushings just swollen and wont stay in place on the pin?

Doubled over fishing line. Breaks the seal to let the trapped air escape.

I went through the exact same thing. Bushing slid up because of air trapped behind it. Fishing line did the trick.

Don't use normal grease on them, it makes them go floppy and swell up, use silicone or proper rubber grease.

Had the same problem. I replaced them with new ones but the fit was still tight and prevented the pins from sliding freely. Ended up with uneven pad wear and had to replace the pads. I ended up just leaving the rubber bushings off. Some people said it I would hear a lot of rattling noise, but I haven't noticed any at all. It's been a year and the pins are moving freely as they should and not causing uneven wear on my pads.

Those rubber sleeves swell, especially if you use any sort of petroleum based grease.

Ive started just removing the rubber sleeve and tossing them, not worth the hassle. Their only purpose is to try to keep down rattles, which Ive never heard.
