    '05 or '06 EVIC/OTIS in an '04?

I ask because I see ones for '05's and '06's on ebay all the time, but have only ever seen one for an '04 since I started looking. How is the wiring different?

    '05 or '06 EVIC/OTIS in an '04?

I know you have to use at least an '04 EVIC/OTIS (not an '02 or '03) in an '04 Liberty not originally equiped, or it won't work right (or at least that is what I read on here when I searched). But can you use an '05 or '06 in an '04?

Need to get into the dash

Mine does not have an ash tray. Just a cubby hole for storage, but there is no screw in it at all, nor none on the underside of the bezel anywhere. I don't want to start prying on it if there is something I am not seeing. Anyone else done this one one like mine that has no ash tray?

Need to get into the dash

I need to get into the dash to wire up my Sirius radio. Whats the best way to get access to the dash internals? Does the bezel that goes around the radio and climate control pop off, or do you have to take off other stuff first. Thanks.

4wheeling on old gas roads!(alot of pics)

That looks like it was a fun drive. I like trails like that, not too extreme but keeps you on your toes. Nice scenery too.

    Question on K&N Air Intake/Air Charger/Performance Kit..

Honestly, don't waste your money on a CAI unless you are doing other mods that go with it, i.e. bigger TB, better flowing heads, headers or exhaust mods, etc... In the stock configuration, the intake and cylinders need x amount of cfm air flow coming into the intake. The air is then pulled...

    Jeep storage container

I'm looking to get a roof mounted storage container for my Liberty, but the Mopar ones from the dealer are $430. Anyone have a suggestion were to get something cheaper? I am refering to the hard shell type, not soft, and not the storage basket either. Pics would be good too. Thanks.

    Heater/blower issue

Ya, that would probably work, but I want a perminent fix. It should operate properly, not require addition knob turns to get it to work. Do you know what causes is when it happens to you? Seems to be that it has just started happening to my wife now that the weather has gotten cold, so...

    Heater/blower issue

My wife reported the following issue to me. When she has the heater on one of the forward blowing settings or the floor, and switches to defrost, it is taking a long time to switch. She said sometimes, it will not switch. Same thing going from defrost back to any other setting. Takes forever...

    Tornado Air

Another so called performance/mileage enhancing item that is a complete waste of time and money is the throttle body spacer. Don't get me wrong, spacers do work really well------- on carburated engines. The concept behind a spacer is that it allows for your fuel and air mixtures to have more...

    Pics of satellite receiver mounts

Sorry about the double post. I was posting on several different Jeep Forums, and forgot I had put it on this one already. YOu can delete from general forum if you want, seems this is a better place for it anyway. pixeldzn, with that mount, is the passenger at risk of hitting it with their...

    Pics of satellite receiver mounts

Anybody have pics of good or creative ways you mounted your satellite (Sirius, XM, etc...) receivers in your Liberty. This is the only vehicle specific mount I found, and I am not sure I like how it looks or were it places the receiver. This is sold through Crutchfield. Just looking for...

    Skid Plates

There are 4. Front, transmission, transfer case, and gas tank. I just installed skids on my '04, and could not find a transmission skid, all the dealers had none. I've read that the '05 trans skid will work though. If I were just buying them one at a time, I would probably get the front...

    Installed skid plates - pics

Most of the bolts that came with the kit had some type of anti seize already on the threads (blue thick paint type of compund in the middle of the threads) you could really feel it grabbing hold as you tightened down. The gas tank bolts and the front skid bolts had this. The transfer case did...

    Rear brake moan. TSB

Well, so far the moan has not reappeared. I think it is fixed. Nice thing is, I have 16,000 miles on the Liberty, but brand new brakes on the rear that didn't cost me a dime. \:D/ If the moan returns, I'll let you all know, but looks like the new pads did the trick.

Cool, that is what I thought, I will just use the trans plate for an '05 then.

    Installed skid plates - pics

Ya, I looked all over trying to find them, but never could find any anywhere for a good price. The ones I did find on eBay usually cost more then going down to the dealership because shipping was so high due to the weight. The transfer case and the front were $49 each, and the fuel tank was...
