Checked out the Liberty's towing ability. Darn thing tows our Ski Nautique quite well. I do need to get a longer tow bar as we had to remove the spare to get the trailer on the bar. It is nice to have a backup vehicle to tow with. Also, the Liberty will be great to back into tight spaces with.

CJ7 304 Header Issues

Been working on my cj7 for the past 3yrs, started to put back together I bought a set of Borla shorty headers “don’t fit “ bought a set of fender well headers drivers side doesn’t fit with steering rod not sure if it needs removed first ? Any help with this would be great !

Thats why so many of us love the KJs.
PLUS if you lift it then no need for a longer hitch, use a drop hitch and it will work great, plus of course way better ride and handling when pulling the Ski Natutique

push snow, definitely. I'd love to come up with some kind of bull bar that actually works. maybe once I get the plow and backbone playing nice. I figure that backbone can be the basis for a lot of ideas.

Jeep is dropped off for a window regular repair (surprised. Not often the '04 regulators go bad.) and the steering rack will be replaced too.

Just dropped off the tC to its new owner. It was a great car for a year and a half...but I don't drive to work anymore and no longer need a commuter. Definitely will miss it.

My regular old school alignment guy retired, and sold the business to one of those guys :upyours: ...who turned down my Jeep cause it was lifted!
At new shop today, Got an expensive Jeep alignment done $168.
IDK I guess it was worth it, he got the OE Camber & toe dialed in.
Caster at 3 degrees and .04 cross caster both sides, and drives straight, wheel straight. :waytogo:
Time to take it out on the hwy soon and see how well he really did.
Tires need rotating soon, outer edges worn a bit.

I have yet to convince someone to set Camber and toe and let caster fall where it does as jba says, but it drives well with the camber a little high

Convince them????
They should do it with out any convincing at all
if they don't get it right , no pay for them

That's actually the one thing my dealer does right. They get the KJ all in the green just fine and only charge $40 for a front end alignment.

Good deal. I am paying mine $89, and I get it back later today so i have not seen the results paper yet.

I've another shop that specializes in alignment to try rather than the tire chain I had it done previously. At 22 inches center to flare I'm not sitting to low for jba uca am I?

Running 21.5 on the 03 and JBA UCAs and alignment right on

So you're only at 22 ?
With 927s, top plate and HALF INCH of spacers ?? You should be maxing out at 4 inches ( 23 ) Way too much in spacers

Ya, I thought I should be taller too, but the tape measure doesn't like. I know I'm pushing it on the clevis, but the shock drops into the clevis well below the level of the bolt. I certainly won't be adding any more. All I have as far as weight is stock skids. Are there different lengths of clevises out there on other model year that would be worth looking into?

Full aware of how much shock is in the clevis and 1/2 is pushing it beyond where I ever put them
Some use a KK clevis , but never have used them and never will

No.

How much clevis lift did you do? There is only so much that you can literally pull the shock/strut out of it's retainer (which is what the clevis fork is doing) before it becomes insufficient and arguably less safe.

Also, is there much or any alignment adjust-ability for the rear axle/wheels on the KJ?
