What did you do to your jeep today?

I just got home from the dealer. They replaced the rear lower control arms on our 07 due to the recall, took them less than an hour. I also stopped by the glass place and made an appointment to get a new windshield, they will be coming out to the house to replace it.

Yeah have to do mine also. I was waiting to see how this fuel tank think goes before going to the dealership.

Hi guys I'm just retired from the US Army. New to the site and just got a used 04 liberty sport.
I will like a 3" suspension lift, please you veterans in kj's let me know how to go about it? Not my intention to jack the thread, but I don't know how to start a new one.

Double check that tensioner, seems like its been a common problem this past week.

Did run it 2 separate times, both of us with the stethoscope. Noise was definitely top rear (or middle rear) of the motor, definitely louder with the stethoscope on the TB. You can feel it there, too.

I'll take off the belt and check tomorrow, though.

Might it be the flex plate? They've been known to make noise too.

If not that I'm not sure what else it could be at that location. A clacking noise in/around the throttle body is odd :icon_neutral:

I used it, along with some of the equipment in it today!

I'm driving along the interstate, on my way to work, when I see a Ford Escape with a flat tire. I turn and look and see a girl with NICE Daisy Duke shorts on. So what do I do? Pull the next U-turn. I pull up behind her and ask her if she needs help. She gives me a nod and a smile. So I changed her tire real fast for her and talked to her a bit while I did it!

When I was done she tried to pay me. I politely declined. I'm the type of guy that wants someone to pay it forward! So, she offered to take me out for coffee or a drink! So I politely accepted her offer, got her number, and now have a date on Sunday (and you better believe I will be the one paying!!! )

So what did I do to my Jeep today? Used it to pick up a beautiful lady! hump.gif

Better than my afternoon .... almost got rear ended by a Compass! :happy175:

The guy was not paying attention at all ... I was stopped to make a left turn and he was racing the Ram in the lane beside him ... I guess he thought he was going to go under me or something. I had to gun it into the intersection or it would have been nasty for him. After saving his Jeep and mine by doing so, he still had the balls to scowl and mutter under his breath at ME as if it was my fault. I completed my turn threw it in park and got out to invite him over for a little discussion.... I guess he had nothing to say after all :happy175: because he drove off in quite a hurry.

^ People are incredibly stupid.

1/4 mile before my house is a light. I drive in the right lane, which goes away right before my house, at which point I stay on the shoulder and turn into my driveway. Lots of people are pretty stupid about the whole right turn on red thing...I think they believe they can turn on red without stopping or looking. I'm driving down the road yesterday (literally - you travel down from an overpass to the light) and a vehicle pulls out turning right on red, but a reasonable distance away to be safe. Really stupid effing woman in an Escape just pulls out behind this vehicle without stopping or looking like her light is green. Good thing for her the front and rear brakes on my Libby are new - slammed on the brakes and the horn and get a middle finger from her. Oh yeah - speed limit is 50 mph there.

Does she realize I just saved her from the ticket and insurance hit? No, of course not...

I scouted out a potential mate for my KJ (haven't seen it in person yet). Admittedly it needs a lot of love ... but I'm leaning towards picking it up.

HELP ... does anything you see set off any red flags? I mean assuming nothing is actually held togetherby that peice of twine :happy175: I figure anybody who is going to use this photo, is not really trying to hide anything.

Double leaf springs, 15" tires, claims 1 ton of gravel = no problem

Drained the rear differential. One of the bolts was previously rounded so I had to BEND the cover off to get the freaken bolt! The installed my new solid works cover. Gonna fill it in the morning and make sure it doesn't leak. Pics when it gets light out again. I started in the light...

The maintenance guy where I live bought something similar a couple years ago. New wood and a little paint and it looked beautiful.

The tires look good. I'd check the welds closely and make sure there wasn't too much rust. If the price was right I'd be interested in something like that myself.

Changed the front diff fluid again and the fluid is less milky than the first change. Hopefully that's all of it, still going to check it after a few days and if it's still somewhat milky I'll change it again.
And in other good news I found the culprit of it! I figured it would be that the breather line was too short and sucked in water. Nope! There was a small gap where the breather hose attached to the diff (hose was bent a lil bit open) so I siliconed the **** out of it.
