So here's the deal.

I have a liberty made from two. The body I used had SKIS. the donor did not. I do not want SKIS and need to know which computer must be swapped to delete it.

The liberty now has the dash harness, dash, fuse box, and BCM from the one that did not have it installed.

I have tried swapping ECU and TCU to no avail. It runs with the ECU,TCU, and BCM from the donor in it, but still requires that the SKIS sensor is hooked up

The only computer I know of that has not been swapped is the one under the center of the dash, presumably the air bag computer.

Any help here would be great. I'm not about to go drop $60 or more on spare keys, plus dealership fees to have it set up since I only have one, and can't program a new one myself unless I have two.

Thanks

whichever....either way, I do not want anything to do with security chipped keys. pain in the butt.

I've swapped the ECU and BCM. no dice, it's gotta be somewhere else.

I get that.

I really just need it dumbed down for me; where is the information for the SKIM stored?

Is it possible that leaving it plugged in, with the key in, battery connected, but ignition turned off might have set the renegade's computer to think it requires the SKIM?

PCM= ECU?

then how is it that the ECU without SKIM only works with SKIM plugged in?
