that bolt and metal bar going straight up directly behind the tie rod end and connecting to the sway bar, these are the sway bar links?

Yep! Unload the lower control arm with a floor jack(if you have one) to see if there's play where the link connects when the suspension isn't pushing the LAC down.

say they are shot and need replaced.. should I get whole new links or just replace the bushings?

Moog sway bar links for 40 bucks a piece with grease fittings and such, or bushings for 10 bucks for a set of 4

You could just get the bushings...just make sure the bolts are as tight as a frog's a$$ when you put everything back together.
