I've just recently noticed a rattling/creaking noise when driving in a bumpy area at slower speeds (below 30) Anything above that it's silent. It sounds like the noise you get when you push up on the glass when it's open and let go. The glass struts are less than a year old. The hinges do have some play in them, and when held down it seems tighter, but I'm not really sure. Any tips?

Thanks!

Maybe try replacing the rear window rubber seal HJ.
It could be that the foam rubber bulb is to compressed.

Last night I oiled up the latch, so I'll see if that works.

A small felt pad fixed mine!

My liftglass ('05) rattled for a long time before I finally figured out what was wrong. The round end of the lever that the glass touches when closed is metal and was banging on the glass when it was shut. Apparently, with its age, the rubber moulding has shrunk enough to allow the glass to not fit as tight as it should.

I added a round felt pad (the kind you put under chair legs) to the metal lever and, wonder of wonders, no noise.

Hopefully, this simple and cheap fix will be all that you need.

And this after I took the rear door apart three times looking for something loose. It helps to have a buddy ride in the back pressing on things while you drive.
