When you say $700 total I assume that is M&B
Included
If so look at discount tire
G/Y Duratracks are $163 each with a $40 rebate
and free shipping that is $612 to your door
Then cash and carry to a tire shop for M&B
In most cases under $20 per tire ,$15 is the going rate
Locally
They do have other less aggressive tires for less
if that is what you want

Too bad the duratracs don't appear to come in 245-70-16.

I'm looking at a set of General Grabber AT2's up here for $700 installed and balanced, plus tax. That's the best deal I can find for them, and the cheapest of the generally recommended suggestions from here.

It would seem prices might be a bit higher up here so it may be one worth looking at?

General Grabber AT2 225/75R16 - $115 each at tirerack.com
Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 225/75R16 - $152 each at tirerack.com
BFGoodrich All-Terrain TA/KO 225/75R16 - $163 each at tirerack.com
Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor 225/75R16 - $168 each at tirerack.com
That what I call wide choice! Too bad that I don't have such choice for my 17" stock wheels :(

Note that the DuraTracs in stock size are load range E and I believe it's the same for the Silent Armors.

I was just at wal-mart and got a price on the GY wrangler authority LT 225/75/16 load range E, for $600 mounted and balanced with road hazzard, tax not included. I read some reviews on other Jeep forums and the guys that have them like them. There were alot of negative comments about wal-mart tires in general, but i was going to mount them on a set of steel rims for winter use only they look like they would do good and have lots of sipes.

Problem Finding A/T Tires for Freedom Package HOWEVER - **WITH 235/65R17**

Just found this forum ... Just bought this jeep liberty freedom edition 3 months ago LOVE IT !

And just started looking for new tires - today.

Problem = The 2003 Jeep Liberty Freedom Edition has 235-65-17 ...

Most on-line web sites do NOT list anything that works

I am going to stores and so far, the ONLY options IN THE 235-65-17 size are Costco's Bridgestone Dueler A/T, Micheline Cross Terrane, and Micheline AT2.

Seriously .... in THE 235-65-17, Wallmart has just one, the Good Year Tracker, low cost, at $115 each (Well, low for the west coast, that tire might be $70 in Texas ...) .

But not all of these are that aggressive. What do you think is the most aggressive?

Will any other stores (Discount, etc.) offer anything else?

I hesitate to use Less Schwabb since they don't have a nationwide warranty and I travel and move frequently. Do you agree?

I am dissapointed that the Good Year Dura Trac mentioned above does not fit in this size that is a GREAT tire

Thank you Sorry if the text is enlarged

Any s

Yeah lots of choices but only 1 in the OP's price range
He said $700 including M&B and I assumed shipping
Tire rack charges about $20 per tire for shipping
Discount tire does not
I got 5 G/Y MTR-K's to my door for $750 from them
back when they first came out
Only because they did not have the BFG KM2's

I have Firestone Destination LE's on my '06 Libby. I don't do a lot of off-roading but I am very impressed with these tires 235/70-16 the AT's are more aggresive but for my driving needs the LE's work well. I spent 530.00 OTD, M&B

I like the duratracs better but cheapest I found them for was $792 without tax. I like the $200 savings with the authoritys.

If you are talking $792 for 5 with M&B but pre tax that
Is a smoking deal
If that is 4 and no M&B that is a rip off
Discount tire is your friend when it comes to tires

Not sure what to tell you because folks with netbooks have to enlarge the text.

What do you folks think of Micheline AT2 LTX? These come in my size of 235-65-17. How would they compare to Bridgestone Dueler A/T? Thanks.

Over priced
Over rated
As far as the netbook issues
It is something you are doing
I have one and have no issues

Bridgestone dueler revo 2

Over priced
Over rated

Thanks for your opinion on the micheline LTX A/T 2

Actually I CAN GET THE DURA TRACS, since I do NOT need to find 235-65-17. I was thinking I had to match the spare of that size, but I discovered that it's CRACKED ! I can sell some of the tires including the cracked spare to Less Schwabb.

So if I can find 5 dura tracs at Discount Tire w/ some sort of a special then that would be GREAT !

Meanwhile, what do you think of Costco's BRIDGESTONE DUELER REVO 2
$906 Installed.

Costco claims this is their very best A/T tire.

They also said they refuse to carry Goodyear products because they are junk.

What? I'm not so sure about that.

Other than that, Costco has the Micheline Cross Terrain.
$845 Installed

THANKS ...
