Knocking noise from bell housing on 3.7l

There is a knocking sound coming from the bell housing on my 3.7l kj auto. Its not a cracked flexplate or loose flexplate bolts cause i have had the inspection plate off and all is fine. Any ideas? This noise sounds like the noise a sticking valve would make. More prominent when you release the exelerator while driving and less when it is tramped. Any ideas?

are you sure its from the bell housing?
Check the converters one of them may have came loose inside and making the rattling sound you are hearing
