I changed out the heater core. Had to remove steering wheel to do this. After hooking everything back up I had no lights on the dash the same as before starting this task. I started jeep up next morning started backing up and turned the wheel Alittle and now my esp bypass light is on and the traction light. Can't figure out what went wrong. Everything is hooked up Ive doubled check. Anyone ran into this issue

You may have damaged the clock spring while removing the steering wheel.....ESP is very dependant on being able to sense the exact position of the steering wheel.

Best to get a new clock spring assembly....it comes with a plastic pin locking it into its correct position.....once it has been fitted into place you pull this locking plastic pin out.

Make sure you disconnect the battery completely for a half hour and connect the positive lead to chassis to drain out any residual capacitance. Before removing the steering wheel mark its position on its spline with a center punch and disconnect and remove the old clock spring...fit the new one carefully and re-fit the steering wheel, battery etc.
