I was just informed about an hour ago that my new liby has an extended warranty that the previous owner bought when he purchased the vehicle in 2006. So I'm covered bumper to bumper till 100 000KM/2011. 6 oil changes and 4 tire rotations free as well.

I reviewed the maintenance report of the previous owner and he came in for maintenance like clockwork. He did everything the owner's manual told him to do. Oil change every 4-5K KM, tire rotations, air filter, did all the recalls/TSBs, etc.

Also, my liby is getting inspected tomorrow...twice! Once by the dealer(125-point Chrysler Certified inspection) and once by an independent garage(safety check).

Be wary of that,just because the previous owner bought a warranty does not mean you get it also.There probably is some sort of transfer fee(if aftermarket I highly doubt it,it was voided when the original owner traded it in) that they are not telling you so when you need the warranty they can say you don't have one.Oh and if it's not a Chrysler warranty it isn't really worth the paper it's printed on.

If it's a Chrysler warranty there is a transfer fee,better read the fine print ASAP.Even the automatic powertrain 7/70,000 on the '03-'05's(which was no charge) required a $125 transfer fee to be in effect for the 2nd owner and voided for the 3rd+ owner.

Yeah, when I bought my KJ it had the balance of the 5/100 Gold plan warranty transfered to me with no fees required.

Talked to the saleswoman today and my liby has gone through the 125-point inspection. She didn't have all the details yet, but she said they did "order some parts". I asked her to find out what exactly and get back to me. I know that the antenna was bent so that's probably one of the parts they ordered. Just wanna know what else they ordered. Next week is the safety check, which here in Quebec is extremely strict. So if she(my liby) passes that, I'm golden.

I'm picking her up on the 26th of August.
