Hey, new member here, I would like some help on seeing what lift kit I need if I want to run 265/75/r16 31x10.5 in tires on the Moab rims. Mostly looking for what size suspension lift in inches I would need, but suggestions would be great as well. If this combo isn’t possible without cutting I would like to know what the largest tire size I can run without cutting.
Thanks in advance

Rethink your tire size first thing
a 32 inch tall tire requires 3.5 to 4 inches of lift
Harder to get that height anymore since JBA doesn't make his coilover kit
Then anything much over 3 inches you need JBA upper control arms
Then next a regear, problem is 4.10 is as low as you can go which in reality is not low enough for 32s
I know I ran 32s and 4.10s for over 100,000 miles on my 04 ( with 4.5 inches of JBA lift, 265-75-16s on Moabs
Always wanted 4.56 especially on any type of hilly roads or pulling a trailer
Next you can not cut these like another vehicle, some try but it is taking the strength out of the unibody
Now 2.5 inches of lift which is easy to obtain with OME 927 front and 948 rear springs and either Bilstein or OME shocks you can run a 31, like 245-75-16 or I prefer 265-70-16s ( either same height, 265-70-16s just fill the Moab out better ) which I run on Moabs on my 03 , but again with 4.10 gearing, you can get by with stock gearing but harder on transmission and you will lose power and gas mileage of course
then bumpstops of course front and rear , can provide info on what works best there as well later
Now start with questions

Tom is right, when I picked up my moabs off Craigslist they had 265/75 16s on them. I put them on knowing I'd be swapping tires shortly and they rubbed plenty, and I'm running closer to 3 1/2 inches of lift. I've got 245/75 16s now and they're great, but will buy 265/70 16s when it's time and regear hopefully. 265/75 to 265/70 doesn't seem like much of a difference, but it's just enough of one. Math doesn't lie.

So from stock, if I got a 2.5” lift and had 235/65/17s on would that workout? Sorry if that’s dumb, I’m very new to this

I've always run the 255/75/17 with no rubbing, granted you need different uca and gotta hammer down that pinch weld...that would be the biggest I would go,personally,in and you can always pick them up cheap ! Rubicon guys always getting rid of them for next to nothing
