Welcome to the Forum Kevman.

That definitely does not sound right. I have the 2002 CRD and it beeps only once after starting up if it is happy with all its checks.

I do not know the 3.7 petrol models, what does your Owners Manual say?
Is that some sort of logo displaying in your Odometer display?...I cannot quite make it out.
My concern is that maybe some check light should be coming on but the previous owner or Dealer may have pulled out the corresponding LED so you cannot see the problem.
When I worked in Pretoria six years ago I took my Jeep to Mc Carthys Jeep near the Fountains...they were pretty good.

I am sure someone here will have an answer for you soon from a 3.7 engine owner.

The MIL light work because it came on with the 2 codes P0420 and P0430. I replace the cat's and they reset the MIL but the beep is stil there. I here something of 40 hot runs but not sure if the beep will then go away. If someone can just tell me, why the beep and will it go away. There is no errors on the jeep with the key on off on off on.

The 2005 and newer KJs normally do not let you pull out codes with the 4 times ignition ON/OFF trick.
You can try disconnecting the battery and move the positive lead to chassis to discharge the capacitors for about an hour....I have heard some KJ owners using this trick to clear codes.
Otherwise your problem might disapear after 40 runs but the Dealer should be able to check and erase your codes for you.
Check that all of your other warning lights including the MIL light come on briefly when you turn on the ignition ie. the oil, ABS, air bag, battery lights, seat belts etc.
You can also test the lights and gauges by holding down the mileage trip switch on the Odo meter while turning the ignition ON.

I ll try that. If u switch the ign on all the light are on and go off except the oil, park, seatbelt (not insert) and MIL, but u start and the it go off.

Hi. I just note that when the ign is on the MIL is off and then comes on, flash 3 time and stay on. If start the engine it goes off. Swicht off and check for codes nothing. So what is the fault or is it of to the stealers?

I think you have no choice but to take it to the Dealers and have them scan it with their special scanner.
That is what my FSM for the 2002/3 models says!

The KJ can make sounds that even the dealer has no idea about. Mine will occasionally make 3 soft beeps, pause then another 3. Nothing in the handbook or FSM, no warning lights or messages anywhere, and the dealer (who I must say is very good) hasn't a clue - nor have Chrysler UK. Most recently happened when I got hit by strong side gusts. I did post on here and got helpful suggestions(eg low washer fluid) but no-one could be sure.

That beep of yours though is loud, and that really sounds like its trying to warn you of something which might be serious. It is possible - as has been suggested, that the relevant warning light has stopped working, but I would get it to a recommended (by fellow Jeep users) dealer ASAP and insist they find out what the issue is.

Hi Guys and Girls. Just a update on the Liberty... It is fix, YES it is FIX.. and the bad part of this is.. The prob where rigth in front of my eyes and I overlook it. Something so small and about non of the workshops I took it could find the fault. All just want to replace the comp box and so on, but lucky they didn't. So to all how might get this problem, 1st make sure there is no tracking uint installed and if there is make sure if it is live of disconnected. That where my prob on the Liberty.

Thz for all of your input

Yip.. It where indeed the tracking unit. It took me almost 2 months to find the prob. The funny thing is, I took it in so that they can install a new tracker unit. They did even know that there were already a unit install. I would not have find the prob if I didn't find a second panic buttom. From there I track down the buzzer and find the unit. Riped it out and all my pain is over. So yes again it is not a Jeep fault and no Jeep Liberty will ever make a beep sound like that
