Hi all. New guy here. Have a 2012 Liberty Jet. May be replacing heater core. Looking for tips, advice.

Hard to believe that the box was glued shut by black goo, that was made of melted rubber insulation. That caused the plastic gears on the box to fail.:eek:
Can you say manufacturing defect !

The mode door wouldn’t even want to move by hand once I got the box out of there.

I think there was a short sighted decision made by an engineering team at some point. o_O

Hopefully I won’t have to do that job again until 2029. ;)

I have verified that it is in fact leaking. Going to need to replace it. Also, I am told that it seems to be stuck on defrost. No heat to the floor. Fun stuff.
Also, doesn't this thing have a low coolant light? I don't drive it. My girlfriend does. I drive a WJ, daughter drives a Compass.
