I am running the RS5000 w/ OME 927s, a Rustys .75" poly spacer and Daystar top plates & .5" wheel spacers (I have 17" stock rims). I am looking to replace the RS5000s this year as I think they are beginning to sag quite a bit.

My question is this... Are there any other front shocks on the market that other than Rancho, Bilstien, or OME that you guys have used and like?

ProComp has a new adjustable height front coil over out now. Skyjacker has an adjustable height front coil over as does JBA. And im sure there are a few others out there as well from the "big names"

Shocks don't create lift, the springs do. YOu will still sit the same with new shocks or not.

only new coils amongst other things will bring you up.

In all seriousness to bigblue...

If the front end is sagging only new coils will get the lift back. Is the spacer you have inside your current Rancho shocks - in other words is the spacer between the spring and either the upper or lower perch on the shock? If it is it will lead to premature spring failure from over-compressing the spring.

Best to add a top Plate like a Boiler or JBA and a clevis lift to get you to the desired height.

yeah the spacer is in between the OME Coils and the rancho shocks. I took the specs from the Frankenlift and combined equal parts to make my custom lift. The only thing i didnt use that the Frankenlift uses was "THEIR" poly spacer. Everything else was the same.

i forgot to mention, I have aftermarket Extended UCA's to compensate for the geometry change of the lift

how much are you sagging? wheel center to fender measurement like in the compare fender height thread.

New and now if you did them. More curious about that set up then anything.

i measured in at 22.75 after my first alignment. Now im at 21.75. The set up is exactly what the same as the frankenlift. Ive had no problems with it so far (except a CV boot tear). I went ahead and just replaced the whole CV instead of just putting a boot on.

So you have a 3/4 inch Rustys poly spacer and what else ?
Is the 3/4 inch top or bottom and what is on the other end ??

So not quite the same as a Frankenlift then
just trying to see what you have and comparing
so can see what you have and can suggest things
How high do you want to be or what do you have to clear?

so what is the difference between what i have an the Frankenlift? Im using the same top plate, same shock, same top iso, same spring, and a similar lower spacer/iso.

While on this subject
I have been looking into converting my TJ to coilovers
Thes can be "built" to many many configurations
The down side is they are all eye to eye
With some fab work I see no reason why you could not
run a true coilover on the front and for that matter the rear
of a KJ
again just a thought
but it would for sure bring the KJ to the "next level"
