'06 Libby 3.7/auto. When in 4x4, there is a noise that is somewhere between whirring and growling. It is most noticable when accelerating moderately; light acceleration produces a lesser noise, and I can barely hear it when coasting. Do you think this is most likely a joint in the driveshaft, or in the front axle? Any tips for troubleshooting? Thanks!

it could be either, but the front driveshaft CV is a pretty common culprit. check your boots for tears. You can re-build the head for about $80. I had to do it in my '06 at 83,000.
