Yeah, tried that. But the adjustment requires you to remove the driveshaft, every time. After a few tries, you realize that's a damn pain and it's easier to adjust with the driveshaft in place. Hence the other measurements. At least in my experience, it's not a set it once and its all good. After you drive the vehicle, things settle a bit and the adjustment changes. I eventually settled on a delta between 0.0deg and 0.5deg.Remove driveshaft. Use the pinion flange as the reference. This is pretty standard. Super simple.
