that's half the reson I bought a liberty, all my fire fighter friends have wrangles and I have two kids so I had to have 4 doors. All the 4 door wranglers were way out of my price range. I try to buy local when I can but I guess this is one time I will have to buy online. I never asked any of them if it would fit I just said here is the tire and wheel I want give me a price.

Mongo does your Renegade have any suspension lift or is it stock?

I believe the stock tire is 28" in diameter and with a 2.5" lift you may be able to do 31" or even 33".

Next I recommend the most popular rim size and that's not 18". They will be more expensive and harder to find. 15" tires will be cheaper & more available but I don't think a stock 15" rim will fit because they will rub the brake caliber or the tie rod ends. So that will leave you with the 16" rims.

And I'll echo the recommendation to go for steellies. "Chrome won't get you home" and you'll wheel without care of scratching your wheels.

I have the jba econolift on order, if you look back over this thread you will see how I got to 31x10.5x15 tire/wheel set up. I just want the tallest/widest "TIRE" I can run with that lift without rubbing (like everyone). I am getting basic black steel wheels so 15/16 makes no difference. I plan to drive alot in sand so a taller side wall (1/2") I know.

Those some expensive tires there.

I paid $950 for a set of 5(mounted,balanced,road hazard warranty+tax) 315/75R16 Destination MT's and only paid $1050 for a set of 5 GoodYear 35x12.50x15 MT/R Kevlars from tire rack(shipping,mounted,balanced,road hazard+ tax).

One of the cheapest all terrain tires with a good review as far as I can see in that size. Wish it was just a off road vehicle I would buy mud tires but it's going to be on road more then off.

Of course never did get on the Grabber Train , never liked General as a tire company back in the day when I sold tires

Had good luck with Goodyear on my service trucks, a few reviews said they were useless on wet pavement driving (duratracks) how have they done for you on road. The duratrack tread does look like it would do better in sand/off road then the general.

Oh and don't forget to have your PCM reprogrammed for the larger tires otherwise your speedometer & odometer won't read accurately.

780+115 shipping from tire rack on the duratracks :025:
I just checked the other day and got my quote
not sure what you are looking at since its so different ???

By the way wet pavement / dry what ever they do good

When I bought mine I got the quote on line took it to a local tire shop and they price matched, even mounted and balanced for the same price they were online.
End of the month and they were trying to meet their quotas

Actually I found on mine thet going 245/75R16 took out the over reading of the speedometer, so when it staes 30 mph you are actually doing that speed and not 28 mph, same at 60 mph, so really no need to recalibrate if the tyres where taller then yes, specially with 32'.

went with the duratracs with black rock wheels

My first jeep so far is like a new girlfriend, costing a fortune but makes you smile every time you take her out.
