2012 liberty jet edition, spare tire. Can I replace the doughnut with a full-size spare?

My 2010 liberty sport had a full-size spare tire. My 2012 jet edition has 20 inch rims with a lower profile tire on it with a doughnut spare. My question is will a full-size 20 inch rim spare tire still fit underneath where the doughnut is stored? I’m guessing the answer is yes but I’m not sure if the larger rim and tire will fit in that same place.

I have a 245/75R16 under there, which is 30.5 inches in diameter. It fits fine. I have heard that the next size up from that still fits, although you may have to let a bit of air out. Check the diameter of your spare and if it is 31” or under you’ll be good.

Thanks, I’m running 245/50/R20’s on my liberty. I measured diameter to top to bottom at 29 inches so I think I should be fine. Appreciate your response!

I replaced the doughnut spare with a full size spare on my 2012 Jet Edition. It fits fine. I replaced the low profile tires as well.

I bought a wheel at the junkyard for my 2012 Jet limited with 20"s, and the Jeep it came off of had a full size spare under it. My plan is to have my cracked wheel repaired and have a full size spare. My donut spare is rotted and unsafe.

Same here, I have a damaged rim that has just bent a little bit, so I want to use that for my spare, but I need a matching rim to replace it on the vehicle. Problem is I went to the junkyard. He didn’t have one he said for 300 bucks He’ll get me one so I need to search around for more reasonably priced matching rim.

Mine has a crack. There is a place locally that repairs alloy wheels. The junkyard had me pick the one i wanted off the car, then he had me come back after he dismounted the tire to pick it up. Of course the first one was cracked so I had to pick a different one. I tried to get him to cut me a deal if I bought 2 but he wouldn't.
