Anyone else have a problem with a newly mounted magnaflow's smell???

Just got it mounted, driving it home from the garage, and the exhaust smell is just "eye watering" bad.

I only put about 4 miles on it so far. I'm hopeing it's somethig that will blow out eventually.

Other than the smell, I love the deeper throaty sound it belch's out when you gun it!!! \:D/

Cool, Tony! You got a Magnaflow exhaust??? Which one? =P~
We've gotta meet some day and compare (Borla vs. Magnaflow). O:)

Don't worry about that smell...I had that weird thing going on when I first had mine installed, too. It'll be gone in a week.

Any chance any of the bubble wrap was still stuck to the muffler anywhere ?
There was lots of self-sticking bubble wrap on the muffler and tailpipe---especially around the 3.5" tip on my system.

Just finished installing mine a few hours ago.

I've just got one thing to say.

Bennett's mom must make some TERRIBLE cookies.

I rather like the smell from mine though, I almost wish it would stay.

HOW TO: will be up in a few days when I am done sorting the pictures and video.

Just spray the exhaust down with WD-40 and it will make cookies again.

I had the same thing with mine, the shop said it was the anti-rust spray they put on the pipes.....they said after the pipes get really REALLY HOT a few times, the smell will go away.
