You need it realigned back to OEM #'s.If your keeping the OEM upper control arms they may or may not get it back into the correct specs, then you will need JBA's UCA's.

I figured no reason to start a new thread about this. I just installed the same lift last weekend. Took the KJ in today for the alignment and I was told the best they could get my camber is neg 9. He told me the normal range is neg 4 to pos 4.

Should this be reason to worry about wear? If so are JBA a-arms the only answer?

I have the OME springs etc but my alignment guy got it into specs with no problem , was not perfect but it was close enough that tires wore great and not one problem, some guys are lazy and do not want to try very hard to get it even close. Easier to say you lifted it and thats as good as it gets. 80000 on my lift 70000 with the stock arms and never had a problem

You make an excellent point about quality of workmanship in todays world :( I think it might be worth a second opinion before I try and lower it a bit. New UCAs are not in the budget right now.

Perhaps a 4wheel drive shop will do a better alignment job on a lifted vehicle than your usual jiffy alignment style place?

For those that have the Daystar 2.5 lift and had problems getting the alignment correct. Was this taken care of???? TonyCRD You said that there would be no problem(I have taken note of this) Is there anyone else that would like to give advice? It would be much appreciated. Thank for all the help

I called around to 10 different shops after the first alignment. I finally found a mechanic who specialized in modified suspension alignments. Not that you need to specialize in that, it was just he took his time and knew how to get it lined up. Just find someone who has been doing alignments for a while and you should have no issues.

This is an old thread so I figured I would bring it out of the grave. Would I request a OEM alignment say a lifetime alignment from (Firestone) after the following install JBA 4.5's, OME927/948, rancho rs 5764, 3/8in RRO top-plate, 3 ring clevis, sitting 23in all the way around.

so oem lifetime from firestone would be best

Lifetime alignment is pretty good logically. You will need at least one more alignment after the lift settles. Then you may get the tinkering disease and add clevis lift a such other things which you would need an alignment again. Whenever you change the height, you need an alignment.

So, yeah lifetime alignment seems to hit it right on the head. I just wish someone would've hit me on the head before I spent so much money on alignment's at the other shop. :freak3:

Are the tie rods in good shape yet, loose or anything?

I think extended tie rods would be a good aftermarket item.

Has anyone ever researched it before? Some tie rod ends look like you could flip them over after you put balljoints in them from the other side. That would help some. Just thinking.....

Good luck finding extended tie rod ends. You'd have to some custom machining to flip the outer tie rod ends.
