4.30 ( if they had such an animal ) would be good for 32s
But sooner or later ( hopefully ) I'll have 4.56s, maybe when it hits 300,000 :icon_lol:

Totally worth it in the long run
TwoBobs is running 265-70s in his with 4.10s

Yep, can't imagine running the 3.73's with these tires. I'm already pushing more air since I'm sitting up higher with the lift. These rolling bricks we drive need all the gear we can get - I'm actually a little bummed going to the 265's as I've noticed a slight power loss compared to the 255/70's I was running before. Mileage has dropped a bit too but I blame most of that on the winter blend fuel we have to run now.

In my opinion 4.10's are totally worth it :waytogo:

What are your hiway engine revs at, say, 60 mph with 4.10's?

Depends on what size tires you are running

I'm running 265/70's and when my speedo says 70mph (which is actually 74mph cuz of the bigger tires) my revs are about 2250 give or take a few revs. The ole PowerTech isn't even in its optimal torque and power band at those rpm's.

Out of curiosity, what is the optimal torque and power band rpm level?

Our 3.7 makes 210 h.p. at 5200 rpm, and 235 ft lbs of torque at 4,000 rpm. Those are the engine's optimal torque/hp bands. Unfortunately, cruising at those rpm's puts more wear and tear on the engine, and makes it suck more gas. So there's a trade-off between optimal and practical. I'd be perfectly comfortable with 2,500 rpm's at highway speeds.

I probably don't even bump up against 2,500 unless it's a steep hill at highway speed. On flat ground I can go just about as fast as I want to (85 mph or so) and be under 3,000.

Good info! :favorites13:
