2003-2006 interchanable parts

I own a 2006 KJ, and I was wondering I could put the door of a 2003 KJ on it. My passenger door isn’t the best right now and my friend is able to give me parts from his 2003 as he is scrapping it.

Believe that 05+ are different... there was a guy a couple weeks ago with an 02 looking for replacement doors, it was mentioned that any up to MY04 would work. Seems to reason that the inverse would also be true.

Not sure what the difference is, I haven't paid attention to other KJ's on the road lately.
