First off, read the manual! 4L is for severe situations only. NEVER switch into 4L and try to go even 35 mph. Wet pavement isn't severe enough to warrant the usage of 4L. Actually, I don't think there will be any on-road driving that would warrant 4L. Maybe severe ice, but if you're driving...
