So….since the 2.8L CAC / Intercooler has been discontinued……
……what options are available? Trying to help a guy out over on Cummins Forum that has a toasted CAC / Intercooler for his Liberty. It went south due to a moose collision. Looks like the OE part number was 5143020AA. I could only find this link...- gsbrockman

Oil change!
I agree............change it when it makes you feel best. I *think* this is turning into a hair splitting session. My 2007.5 Dodge RAM 3500 w/6.7L Cummins (12 qt capacity) gets good ol' John Deere CI4+ 0W40 Synthetic every 8k miles or so. A few parts fell off of the RAM 3500, so I don't have...- gsbrockman

Below $3.00 diesel
$2.899/gal at Speedway in Berea, KY at Exit 76 and Interstate I-75. Just last weekend I was ecstatic to get #2 for $3.159/gal at the same place......It was really difficult to squeeze $61.00 in the ol' CRD. The 2007.5 RAM 3500 MegaCab loves these cheap diesel prices, too....never thought...- gsbrockman

torque converter F37 recall 2005/2006 2.8l CRD liberty
Just got off the telephone with my Service Advisor. Seems as if my CRD Limited is getting yet another torque convertor. This one will be #3.......two within 3 or 4 days of each other. I was told it should be ready Tuesday. I said something to the effect "that Tech is gonna love doing this...- gsbrockman

Well, the wife took our Limited CRD in early Tuesday for the F37. They gave her an '06 Dodge Caravan as a loaner for the day (we live 26 miles from the dealer). Diesel Detergents ??
I use Power Service Products (white bottle) particularly in the winter months. http://www.powerservice.com/ It's readily available at WalMart, Tractor Supply Co., and most truckstops (Love's , Flying J)....etc. My CRD gets around 8 ozs. every tank. Greg- gsbrockman

We picked up I-75 South at London, KY to Knoxville, TN; I-640 East to I-40 East from Knoxville, TN to toward Asheville, NC; I-26 East to I-20 East; US 76 >> SC 576; then US 501 South. Well, the Liberty Limited 4x4 CRD proved itself very fuel efficient on the way to and from Myrtle Beach, SC this year (we've always taken my 2003 RAM 2500, but opted to take the Liberty CRD this year). On our way back, the EVIC showed 30.2 mpg which translated to a hand-calculated 29.8...- gsbrockman

Slade, KY 7/15 before closure?
