Diesel Detergents ??

I just got a CRD limited and I have seen alot of people talk about adding fuel additves to the tank on every fill up. Can anyone give me some insight on why and how often, also recomend a brand if I really do need it. I am new to Diesel, but not to Jeeps, so forgive me. Actually this will be my third Jeep.

I use Power Service Products (white bottle) particularly in the winter months.

It's readily available at WalMart, Tractor Supply Co., and most truckstops (Love's , Flying J)....etc.

My CRD gets around 8 ozs. every tank.
