    Total destruction of a Jeep

That was just painful to watch. If its not road worthy anymore its time to build a trail rig(or sell/give it to someone who will). But yes...it looked like fun.

    245/75/16 BFGs on Stock 05

Thanks for the info, Molado...the Frankenlift has been ordered and my friend has been bribed. And to top it all off my Fiancée is fine with it. Its shaping up to be a good month (woot)

    245/75/16 BFGs on Stock 05

Thats what i figured but I wanted to check first. Looks like its time to order the Frankenlift..I'll just have to bribe my buddy with beer and pizza so I can use his tools/garage.

    245/75/16 BFGs on Stock 05

Due to a mix up when ordering new tires I am getting 5 245/75/16s instead of 5 245/70/16s. I have a stock 05 Sport and I am wondering if they will "fit" for normal on road driving(how bad will they rub?). I was planning on getting a lift at some point, just not this soon(but if I have to then...

AEV Alloy Wheels on the way!

Did the new wheels help with the rubbing on the swaybar at all? Make it worse? After seeing the pics I am seriously looking at these wheels.

    Oxygen Sensor

Yeah, that was one of the codes I was getting. P0137 and P0138. I may have to crawl underneath and take a look to see how it hit the driveshaft...maybe add a zip tie in there to keep it away.

    Oxygen Sensor

I had the same error code a couple weeks back, took it in and got the surprise of my automotive life. Turns out the the wiring for the sensor got knocked loose somehow and hit the driveshaft. On a side note, On every Jeep I have had(2 TJs and the KJ), the O2 sensors have been replaced...

Roof Rack/Basket for 05+ Renegade Rails

I have seen a couple people saying they are going to go with the Mopar basket because it's the only option. There is another option. Yakima makes mounts for the Xterra which has similar rails. I believe it's called the X-Tower. I had them for the rack I had on my TJ and they worked great...

    Camp Jeep

I attended my first Camp Jeep this past weekend. It was awesome. There was so much to do that we didn't get it all in. The trail rides were great, we had some awesome trail guides. I was really impressed with how well the stock KJs did, even more impressed with the lifted ones. I will...

    painting fenders

From the description of that "Forever Black" product it seems to be more for trim that was previously black and has faded(Like the flares on my old TJ). I am not sure how well it would work or how professional it would look, but my guess is that you would have to re-apply it fairly often to...

    05 Renny Cross Rails

Another option you might want to look at is the Yakima X-Towers. They were originally designed for the Xterra's round bars, but I found they worked great on my rack on my old TJ. You would also be able to reuse your thule parts if they are new enough...I think both Thule and Yakima make...

So, the wife gets the oil changed, and they tell her...

My fav attempt at selling my g/f a service was done by Jiffy Lube. We took her car in to get an oil change...I ran across the street to 7-11 to get some drinks, when i got back she was laughing at the mechanic. He tried to tell her that she needed an automatic transmission service....too bad...

    Tire pressure indicator light.

From what my OM says...you don't need to have the EVIC to have the TPMS. There is a second type that will illuminate a light on the dash instead of the EVIC. This might be new for '05.

    Where are all the Trac-Locs?

I was in the same boat. I couldn't find a KJ that matched everything I wanted. I ended up getting everything but the LSD. I figured I could always add an aftermarket one later if I found I really needed it.

    Camp Jeep 2005

Thanks for the heads up. I will be there. I have been trying to make it to one ever since I got my first Jeep in 2000. I am putting in for the time off right now. Work can't keep me from it 3 years in a row.

    Introduce myself

I bought mine from Farrish in Fairfax. My experience with them was good(although I have heard some horror stories). It helped that I knew which KJ I wanted and my company is a supplier to Chrysler so I got to pay the employee discount price. They were very friendly, and multiple people stayed...

    iPod & Cell Phone Mount

What about connecting the iPod to the RB1 Nav unit? Anyone found a way to do that? Doesn't Alpine make the RB1....I am wondering if the adapter from alpine would work with the rb1. Anyone go a picture of the back of an RB1...trying to see if the cd changer connection is the AI-Net connector...

    Introduce myself

I have been lurking here for a few weeks now...posting occasionally. Thought it was about time to introduce myself. I bought my KJ about 2.5 weeks ago and I have been thrilled with my purchase. I am planning on keeping it mostly stock...but my plans usually change(some of those lifts look...

HOW TO: Add Leather (or power) seats to a KJ

Thanks for the suggestion about the rails. Out of curiosity I checked the connectors on my passenger seat and it has 3 wires. I am guessing that this 3rd wire would be power(can anyone confirm this?). I am going to check out some of the KJs at the dealer this weekend to see what the connector...

How did you first find your KJ?

I have always loved Jeeps since I was a kid...loved the used YJs my dad used to bring home(he is a car dealer). When I graduated college, my company had a car plan where they paid up to $325 for a car. I jumped at this and traded my Explorer in for a 2000 TJ Sport. I loved the TJ, but I...
