HOW TO: Change Transfer Case Position Switch

No need to bother replacing transfer case position switch...Here's why. I just took my 2003 Jeep Liberty into the dealer to have a malfunctioning transfer case position switch replaced. No need to do it yourself. This part has a recall on it. They replaced the part and did the labor for...

    CD player skips

This might be a small problem, but I just wondered if anyone has a solution to a CD player that skips intermittantly. I know it's not the disc, because it does it on any disc, not just one or 2. These discs also play well in my home CD player. When my Jeep CD player skips, it does so on...

    rear windshield wiper problems

don't use the rear wiper?????? How can you not use the rear wiper when you need to back up once in awhile?????? I like that wiper arch mark on the back window.....problem is that such a huge load of roadspray and crap builds up there, that when you use your wiper it scratches in the same...

    rear windshield wiper problems

thanks thanks for the rear wiper problem input....it's nice to know I'm not the only one having this problem. I had considered getting one from the dealer, but the price is too high. Now it turns out it would have been cheaper to get it from the dealer because I'm going to end up buying 2 of...

    rear windshield wiper problems

That's what I'll probably end up doing. I have read that some people are using a 12" blade. Think that might work? But yeah, although it really pisses me off to pay $7 for a Bosch, and find out it doesn't work, I guess I'll have to pay for another wiper blade. This time I won't order it off...

    rear windshield wiper problems

First problem was when I put on a Bosch 11" replacement blade for the rear wiper and found that even though there were 4 adaptors, none of them worked on the 2003 Liberty. Second problem is that after using my old adaptor from my original blade which is now 5 years old, the wiper doesn't wipe...

    Uniroyal Liberator Tires

flat tires???? I didn't say flat tires don't happen. I just said, that they don't happen near as frequently as they did 30 plus years ago. Tire technology has really improved alot over the past 20-30 years. It's a rarity for people to get flats today. As for myself, since the spare is just...

    Uniroyal Liberator Tires

spare tires I understand what you're saying, but in all honesty, tires are so good today that a person doesn't really have to worry about getting flat tires so much. I see the spare tire as available for emergencies only, and would keep it on the vehicle ONLY until I could get a replacement...

    Uniroyal Liberator Tires

spare tires It's all how you look at things I guess. I just figure that the spare is the spare, and if not used is always there in great condition, as long as you check the pressure in it once in awhile. Why bother with rotating an extra tire, and then as you said, having to buy the extra...

    Uniroyal Liberator Tires

rotating the spare I wasn't sure I would like Uniroyal, and keeping one dud Goodyear tire that I don't intend to use isn't that big of a deal....so yeah, I guess we see it differently, but that's ok, seeing as variety is the spice of life.

    Uniroyal Liberator Tires

nope sure don't no I don't rotate my spare, and seeing as I wanted to get rid of my stock Goodyears anyway, it didn't make much sense to do so. I know you're gonna say that it extends their life, but for me, that's not really an issue, especially when I don't like the tires. I also see the...

    Uniroyal Liberator Tires

Just purchased 4 Uniroyal Liberator/AT tires for my Liberty. I finally dumped the stock Goodyears, and right away I noticed that my steering wheel shake at 70mph is gone. My Jeep dealer told me the stock Goodyear's were almost impossible to balance, and when I got around to changing to another...

    Loud rattle around windshield

rattle around windshield I have a light rattle/grinding sound coming from the same area in my 2003 Sport. It happens when the vehicle is cold, and is most noticeable at very low speeds. Kind of drives me nuts unless i cover it with music. ](*,)

    Molded Splash Guard ?

splashguards the molded splashguards have been a lifesaver for my paint.....they keep the paint chipping on the bottom of the doors and rocker panels to a minimum. They fit well, look good, and protect the finish.....one of the best things I've done for my jeep. =D>

    Diff oils.

the service manual says differential fluid change at 30,000 The owners manual and service/maintenance books say that the differential service should be done at the 30,000 mile mark. Why in the world would anyone do it any sooner?

    Stock lug nuts

capped lugnuts you can get replacement lugnuts from NAPA.....fair price and you can have them in a day. They seem to be way more durable than stock. I always keep a few spares cause those tire rotaters with the impact wrenches beat the hell out of em.
