Thank you for the feedback. I did try to wiggle both RH and LH CV and they moved just a little bit. What I would consider normal but I am just guessing there. It still may be the issue though. I'm at the point where I may just take it somewhere to diagnose it, then depending on what it is I can...
My daughter has a 2006 Liberty that started the front end howl at around 30 mph and gets louder with speed. It sounds like it's the right front and when I turn right it lessens or goes away.....I assume right wheel bearing since the noise was right so I replaced the right front wheel bearing and...
Yes, that is correct. The Instrument panel and all associated lights come on when the key is turned on including the chime when the key is inserted. When moved to the start position I get nothing at all.
I did try starting in Neutral and got the same result of nothing happens.
I will Check...
I did find and check the 15 amp fuse, did not see the others so I will have to look tonight. The ignition does feel the same as I would expect since I didn't mess with it at all but strange things happen.
My daughter has a 2006 Liberty Limited that I just finished replacing the heater core on. I did NOT remove the steering column or completely remove the dash. I did lower the column as others have done. Everything works, blinkers wipers absolutely everything and when the key is in the ignition it...
Ill give that a try today. I looks like the glass latch has something attached to the motor as if it would lock/unlock but ill clean and lube it, hopefully it will work.
Thanks!
Yes, you can hear it unlock the tailgate. I pulled off the inside panel and watched but nothing for the glass moves. I tried the fob an the button, same result.
My daughter has a 2006 Liberty Limited and when I unlock all the doors including the tailgate, everything unlocks except the glass. Sure I can open the tailgate and the glass will open but the latch doesn't activate so it stays in the locked position. So if I go to close the glass it hits the...

So based on the research I have done it looks like my daughters 2006 Liberty with part time 4WD (not sure of the numeric designation) has a leak at the output shaft seal. The only "how to" doesn't have any pictures or at least won't let me view any. Has anyone done this that can provide some...
my 06 automatic liberty that I purchased doesn't have reverse lights. The brake lights work and I believe the fuse is for both so it couldnt be the fuse. I would like to replace the reverse light switch but can seem to find any how too or info on how to do it. Could someone point me in the right...
New KJ owner - Recall help
So as a new owner of a 2006 Liberty limited that does not have a hitch, am I able to go to a dealer and get a hitch installed due to this recall? Everything I read or see on the news is basically saying Chrysler is not doing anything for owners.
Thanks
Thanks for the diagram. I don't have an owners manual but I did look up the fuse and it looks like the brake lights are included so since they work along with the tail light I would assume it is not the fuse or ground. The reverse switch looks like a pain to get to but that may be my only solution.
So my daughters 2006 KJ has all the lights working Except the reverse lights. Based on my research this would more than likely be the switch mounted on the driver side of the auto tranny. My issue is I can't identify what is what since there is more than one and all seam difficult to get to. Can...
Yes, that is at least one of the posts.
I may have described the issue incorrectly, it is the "sloshing" not that it never shuts off. It will click off but that is followed up by gas splashing out and down the side of the jeep.
I was just wondering if using the GM flapper valve fix has...
Well I looked back and the fix I was seeing was on a CJ. I tried to cut and paste a picture from the old thread but it wouildn't let me.
Not sure why this would't work on KJ as well but it uses the GM rubber filler tube that has a flapper valve in it. You can trim the hose and use the GM...
