Are you saving the good components on it? There is still a lot of support for them, might be worth rebuilding or keep for spare parts if not too much damage to it.
Not sure yet, I think one of the valve seats came out, broke into pieces, destroyed the piston i found multiple pieces of the seat in the intake manifold and saw the piston with camera, from what I could tell the cylinder wall was repairable, not sure about the head.

New coolant temperature sensor installed. New license plate frames. Need to take aprt the dash to fix the stuck blend doors. Actuator works fine bit the gears are stuck and cannot be moved

Yesterday I finally got the rear A-frame to mate with diff & get the pinch bolt in. Very grateful for having a rattle-gun, 'cos winding that nut on would've been tedious. Unfortunately I let tinkering with/exploring the Grand Vitara get in the way (after taking the XJ for it's Saturday morning constitutional through the Dartmoor National Park) so it was dark by the time I got that far. Idea was to start on the brakes today but - for the 3rd Sunday in a row, I had to wait for the rain to stop so only achieved fully tightening the pinch bolt, & the mounting bolts to the body, once it was down off the jackstands.

Was it all worth it? Not really, it was a lesson learned & I didn't let it beat me - but a KJ's just not worth all that time & aggravation.

Fortunately, from what I've already done, the brakes don't seem to be anything special, or difficult; well, no more difficult than any job involving brake lines.

Broke in my new (used) trailer by picking up a ton of wood pellets. I was leery of overloading it so I stuck about a third of them in the back of the Jeep. Fifty 40# bags, roughly 36 bags in the trailer and the other 14 in the back of the Jeep. Towed/hauled it all a dozen miles home with some stretches being 50 MPH roads. Rode like a champ, even over two pretty rough railroad crossings.

I cleaned out the shop today to prepare to do the brakes and rotors on the kj. finally got a hold of the mounting bracket for the etac so that's going in tomorrow as well. I need to wait till payday to get all the odds and ends i need to make the wiring harness for the auto dimming rear view mirror.
