I do plan on doing full axle swaps (straight axle 4 link) sometime late next summer so doing a cheap lift right now isnt a big deal

Well even if I was doing a SFA next year, I'd still want a good ride, better handling and resell value until then
But I've also been down that road so know what happens over time ;);)

Well the 03 is trying to play catch up to the 04
04 and the ARB took out a lot of deer and never any damage
The 03 had a deer hit it this morning, 2 lane road, 60-65 MPH ( whoops speed limit 55 ) crested a hill and bam !!!!!!
Tore right front flare loose , bent outside bar of the Matrix back about 1/4 inch
Stuffed deer hair between wheel and bead of the tire , can't even pull it out in about a 9 inch section
Bent the upper 8 inches of the antenna back in a 45 degree angle, not sure how that happened ???
And toe is way off now
Other than that good to go,
Guess it's time to install those renegade flares I've had since 2005 ( well sold them to a buddy, then he gave them back to me after a year LOL )

Got new tires installed. 21.5" all four corners after alignment. Thunderer M/T 245/75/16. No rubbing. Mudd.....how the after numbers look? (Green after, red before). Those numbers were after the lift.

My Jeep is the Renegade, Sport is one of my Daughters. I had bought her a Sport first part of the year. Liked it so much, went on the hunt for the Renegade trimmed version.

First real rain of the year here in Cali. Got some mud on new tires. Wife wasn't happy.

she started making a howling noise the other day. sounds like it's coming from the right front. that could be projection on my part though, since I know the passenger outer boot has a pinhole and has slung grease in the past. starts at round 45mph and reaches a crescendo by 60. it's frequency speed dependent, and I can feel it through the stick shift when it's engaged; the feeling goes away if I put it in neutral with the clutch out, while still at speed. wanted to wait until post-snowplow season to change it and the shaft, but now i'm worrying if that's such a good idea.

have to take it to mom's today in this heavy rain storm. here's hoping I don't wind up on a roll back at some point!

Question possibly related...

I notice mine dumping a bit of hot water from the CC when parked at idle. Weird as it doesn't smell like anything...wondering if getting condensation in the CC due to the Florida-like humidity and bad flow?

Got the front receiver installed. Taking a break before cleaning up. Going to get some tow hooks. Researching that now.

Back to Philly. Oil change indicator is on again. The Jeep knows I was towing with OD locked out. 3000 miles since the last one but most all of it was at 3000 rpm towing a trailer.

I've found that most of the amber LED pods are too bright for proper low visibility driving. Guess most folks don't understand bright ambers are no more useful than headlights for low-vis operations. How bright are the ambers on these?

It is still frakkin' raining here. Four days straight of steady cold drenching. Hopefully it will stop this afternoon so I can at least slap a JBA decal in with the collection on the swing gate.

Best laid plans...
