So I have a confession, and totally understand if I get my membership to this site revoked. I knew I had gone a little to long since I had changed plugs, but I've been busy and it seemed to be running fine. So I pulled one out today and it was a champion...barf! I got to thinking and realized it had been waaay to long and I put champions in there shortly after I bought the KJ due to a misfire and before I decided I like this jeep and wasnt planning on fixing it up. Replaced all six with proper ngk's. I look forward to it running better. Also cleaned throttle body, pcv tubes, and learned that if you forget to plug the brake booster vacuum line back into the intake the jeep don't stop so good. Luckily no harm done while brakeless. Go ahead and let me have it.

I sprayed the crap out of it and am having lunch and coffee. The hammer blows did nothing. The brakes do need to be changed out, but that’s a job for the next paycheck.
Regular hammer won't work it's gotta have some weight 3-4 pounds.

Drove the 07 1000 miles to Daytona Beach Florida pulling a trailer with a bike on it. I think this is 14 trips from Indiana to Florida we have made with zero problems. I gave her a big thank you for getting us here safely.

Replaced radiator, replaced thermostat (old one was probably OK, but the F'n shop didn't clock it correctly.) All put back together, and running like a champ. No heating issues now. Thanks for all the knowledge here!

Day 2 of the CV replacement... Rusty bolts have been terrible. Company cane over at 5:00, so I had to clean up. Now, I get to go back to weaseling the CV and shaft out together.

I got the axle out. There was a plastic bushing in the axle instead of a bearing, and that came out in pieces. Currently struggling with the seal. Any tips on that?

Still having issues with coolant going somewhere. Hoses have been changed and the reservoir. I've removed the bleeder plug many times every time until Thursday it gurgled when plug was removed. Thursday it actually kicked some out when I pulled the plug, thought I finally had it done. Topped it off figuring it would be good and drove it Friday for a good while. Went to change air filter today and the level was done to the outlet hose at bottom of res. Pulled the plug and again it gurgled. This makes a full gallon since replacing the hoses. No excessive steam after warm up, pass floor is dry, and can see no external leaks. Runs fine great heat. Is there something I'm still missing? 05 Sport Auto 3.7

Still have air in there somewhere it sounds like, sometimes it takes quite a few times to get it all out
Loosen the plug enough that it can let air seep out but not all the way out , try that

Went to two junkyards. Asked for a spare tire for the Jeep at one. No.

Got Honda parts so I can drive the Honda to work at 40 mpg, rather than the KK at what, 16 mpg? I filled the tank, and then when I fill it again I will calculate the mileage. That's the only way to do it. Keep a running log of miles on Trip B and gallons purchased. Then divide, and you have your actual mpg. Not what you think you get.

Jeep ran nice, 200 miles or so round trip. I live way out in the middle of nowhere, and that's why (part of why) I moved here.

I haven't seen any KKs in the junkyard here yet, but yes, some KJs. Let me know if anyone needs a junkyard part. If I can get it I'll ship it to you cost plus shipping, plus 10%.

Yes you have to have it running at at operating temps,
after it gets up to temp then break open the bleeder and you'll see bubbles coming out
may take a while before you get them all out


I'm going to keep this in mind TomMudd, because that is yet on my list. Drain and flush and refill radiator, I think I may also replace the thermostat. I'll get an oem. I already have the Hoat anti freeze.
