Do we have multiple options for assemblies or just the stock?
I'm looking for something a little bit nicer looking, which may just be 2 new assemblies that are clean and not cracked. But per ebay, there are nice looking assemblies.

Can I go aftermarket assembly for more brightness and a cleaner look?
Or stock assembly with brighter bulbs?
what are my options for fog lights too?

I'm keeping the jeep completely stock as far as mechanics, except it's being built for a sound system which will all be professionally done, but I'm responsible for all exterior aspects. Besides paint and a few add-ons, I'd like the headlights and fog lights to really stand out.

Nothing bolt on as far as different reflector/lens/ housing setups that I have seen yet.

The only real "upgrade" would be to go to projector/focused beam style headlights to increase the distance and concentration of light on the road, but I haven't seen anything made.

Some folks will cook the lenses in an oven to loosen the welds, pop the front and back open and then retrofit their own projector into the housing, custom halos can be done this way too.

Better bulbs will go a long way though, and cleaning the lenses with a polishing kit if they are hazy will make them look nice again.

I use a pair of LED bulbs in mine and really like them. Some will be quick to point out that the reflectors are not designed for leds, and they are right. Weather or not you are blinding other drivers is your responsibility though and every combination of bulb shape/size and this reflector will work slightly differently. Stay away from the bluer (5000 kelvin+) lights you see on the market, very hard to see with those.

Thank you! That is really helpful information, and staying stock and just loving and caring for what I have sounds like the best option. Brighter bulbs and a polishing kit it is!

Sylvania Silverstar Ultra are good bright bulbs, last a long time. Also new Xenon filled in the ZXE and ZXE gold are whiter.
Do you have the fog light bulbs installed? If so here is a simple mod, where you can have 65Watt fog bulbs that will really improve your lighting!

I have run both the Phillips Vision Plus and the Sylvania Silverstars and while both are brighter than stock, I think I prefer the Phillips bulbs. Seems they are harder to find in the auto parts stores though.

I fitted 100w Bulbs up front on my 2002 Export Diesel.

Due to the extra amperage these would draw I fitted four relays up front right at the sockets..one for Left High, One for Left Low and same for Left side.

Operating the light switches energized the relays which in turn energized the lights. I supplied the +12 volts power to the bulbs via the relays via an online fuse straight from the battery.
The grounds for the bulbs and for the relays came direct from the chassis up front.

Really worked well and the Export KJs come standard with a Light Height adjustment switch whereby I can adjust the beam height while driving so as to not blind oncoming vehicles.

The 100w Bulbs then became illegal here in SA so I removed my relays and fitted good Sylvania bulbs.

The beams on my RHD KJ were sloping up in a clockwise direction as seen from behind..probably to light up the Sidewalk on the left.

I melted the plastic reflector where the bulbs were mounted so as to rotate the bulbs to shine more level...works fine now!

would never go that route, I don't drive a deformed bug
