LMAO, ok
was discussed years ago but go ahead
LOL no only Dana has the ring and pinion for a 30aTom, I saw in two other posts you recommended the 4.10 ring and pinion from Crown specifically for a Dana 30 and the locker for a Dana 30 to people that had the OEM D30A, so I'm wondering now why you insist there is such a significant difference? If you suggested using the pinion for a 30, why would this not work? And I'm not being snarky, I want to understand why the two statements seem contradictory.
It does have BUT you have to remove the front diff to remove the cover, so yes a lot of people thinks they can notWhy would you laugh at people doing research and learning? You don't have to be a rude. It isn't like I've read every post on the forum, so excuse me for trying to figure something out.
I also saw someone definitively say the KJ didn't have a removable front diff cover, and I know that isn't true, so I prefer evidence.
?????My history with the G80 'gov bomb' in Chevies would steer me clear. Not a durable unit.
That said, a D30 carrier on its own fits the D30A. Even a lunchbox locker for a D30 fits; BTDT.
You Tube videos, worthless as most Facebook posts
Because ironically the forums for this specific model Jeep are full people who - guess what - work and modify this specific vehicle. Shocker huh?and forum posts from people that contradict themselves are more credible, how?
u2slow: The answer is, they DO blow up, if one is an ****** and do burn outs with them (since they are installed in the rear of Silverados). But if one operates them under normal use, they are very reliable. And given that people generally do not do 4wd burnouts, it shouldn't "Gov-Bomb."
