How Much Lift w/ OME?

OK guys, open for some feedback...

Purchased Libby last fall (2010) cuz I've wanted a Jeep and the Libby passed the wife's requirements. :killit: No idea of the PO history except what came back from CarFax. Suspension shop that did alignment said the ball joints (upper and lower) look good. Had local dealer check the VIN for BJ recalls and they were done.

No significant mods other than the few things I've done to it over the winter (hitch, cross bars, blah blah.) When poking around underneath while changing diff & TC oil and checking the brakes and suspension everything looks to be stock with no significant wear visually. Probably original shocks & springs but here are the height specs. Doesn't seem to have sagged as many others have...but I'm open to suggestions on lifts.

Essentially stock '03 Renegade

• 3.7L, 42RLE ******
• OEM Skids: Front diff, Transfer case, Fuel tank
• Front tow hooks, OEM hitch, Light bar
• 100,900 miles

Measurements:
Front L: 18 3/8 inches
Front R: 18 1/2 inches

Rear L: 18 1/2 inches
Rear R: 18 1/2 inches

Thinking basic OME 927/948 with Bilstein's but would I gain the advertised 2.5" height? Seems my Libby has settled only about 1/2 inch - so would OME get me to about 20" all around (1.5 inch lift)? Or would it go to 21" for a 2.5" lift?

You'll get at least 21-21.5 without anything else

Mine measured 18.5 all around before the lift. Put on 927/948 and Bilsteins and now its sitting at 21.5

Not trying to hijack a thread, but where can I find specs for Bilstein shocks? compressed, extended, travel, rod diameter? nothing on official site.
I was kinda surprised, when I measured RSX17505. They have same compressed, extended, travel specs, as stock Mopar shocks. Rod in thicker, though.
I'm looking for long travel forward shocks, and I'm not sure Bilstein is longer then stock.

Thanks for the input - the ride heights you indicated are better than I thought I'd get since my Libby hasn't sagged as much as others have. Me likes 21.5 inches! :gr_grin:

So where should I pick up my OME/Bilstein's - JBA? RRO? Other places I haven't found yet...?

I picked up my OME springs from www.sierraexpeditions.com

And shocks from www.shockwarehouse.com

They had the cheapest prices of where I looked.

That s#cks... Stock forward shocks have only like 4-4.5" travel. I want to have at least 2" more, to feel good with 2.5-3" lift

How those guys with 4"-6"-12" lift do run their KJs with stock articulation?

Also, I regret I've put OME 927. With bullbar and winch it rides too soft. gonna change it to 790 or to some custom coil.

I put on the OME 927/948 one year ago and it sits at 21.25 today. Still have not upgraded the tires or A-arms yet.

Most guys are running 245/75-16, or 31.5" diameterwith a lift. Should have no issues there (may need to pound pinch welds.)

265's may be a bit much without extra shims and clevis.

Go 245-75s thats what most use and it works well, need more to do 265-75s plus a gear change to 4.10s
I'm sitting over 23.50 and think its just right for 265-75s
but if you want to go that route heres what it will look like

is the same lift you get with OME Heavy Duty (927) and the OME Medium Duty (926) springs at the front?

with stock bumper...

You'll not get quite as much lift with the 926s
