Hey Jon......

Jon/Hyedipin......Jeepdawg was talking about a Bear Mountain Run. Check L O S T......I think the road is open. I will drive down there if you guys are going. But I think that Twin Peaks place is shut down....(darn...I wanted to run that) .....Jeepdawg has his lift on so he will be chomping at the bit to find mud.

Greetings Dave,

The Bear Mountain Road just goes to the top of the mountain overlook. It was closed off the last time we were there but it is open again now.

The Twin Arch place you will need skids and hooks (I've got tow straps in case someone gets stuck) JeepDawg is checking on it as he thinks it might be closed off. If it is he is looking for another place. We'll see.

Greetings From Lavallette.

Matt

My family has been going to Lavallette for vacation every year ever since I can remember...even before I was born. Its a wonderful place, we usually stay on Jersey City Ave a few houses from the beach. I'd imagine its pretty "quiet" this time of year though. They opted for Myrtle Beach instead of Lavallette this year...hooray 12 hour drive! :(

No, Bear Mountain is all paved road, no off-road or any trails (other than Appalachian :) ) for us to have fun. We just meet once a year a-top bear mountain, drive down in a pack like hungry wolfes, settle down somewhere, grab something to eat, ******** and whine about our mileage, show off a few things, exchange stuff, then get back home.

Last year a few people went wheeling with Brian over at "Twin Peaks" which is about 15 miles from Bear Mountain.

The pix of the trip were somewhere here, and the videos are on my site.
