Greetings folks.
I just picked up a 2003 Liberty Renegade with 151k from a broker in Atlanta who took as a trade in from someone who drove it down from New York . It is in pretty good shape, drivers rocker is rusted thru(NY) and has a some rust bubbles on the roof.The rest of the body is pretty good. Mechanically ...well engine and transmission seem to function well ,everything but the sunroof works. Interior is pretty nice ,Factory radio functions although the speakers are shot,crackle and pop!The brakes however are awful.Looks like some one installed the wrong pads on the rear as there is a shiny ring in the center of the disc flanked by rust on either side. I have it at my mechanic right now for him to inspect and give me a report on. I know brakes and I suspect shocks/struts and maybe some front end work as I did hear an occasional pop from the front end,probably do a rad/coolant flush as there was some staining of the overflow tank, and maybe a plug change. After I get his report this week I'll order the parts and hopefully have it back next week.
I look forward to gaining some knowledge here as this is my first Jeep, I'm already looking around .
