Just joined the site and am from central Idaho. 2005 Jeep Liberty with 3.7L and automatic, 2.5" Rocky Road economy lift, 265/75-16 tires, 1" offset spacers, and Wrangler front bumper w/12k winch. It currently has over 210k miles on it. It broke a valve spring on the right bank shortly after I got it. I bit tough to diagnose but pulled the valve cover and there it was. Luckily pulled the correct side the first time. Heard that these 3.7L motors were notorious for losing the valve keepers and springs popping off. Wasn't expecting a broken spring.Need to redo the front suspension and lift. Front springs and shocks are worn so investigating OME springs and equipment. Considering a re-gear to accommodate existing tire size but am wondering if anyone has ever done a front differential swap from a KK to KJ. From what I am reading the KK front axle can accommodate a variety of gear choices. I purchased this particular Liberty due to the non-frog-eyed front clip. Apparently it was only available the one year. Is that correct? Hope to build a custom roof rack/carrier and rock sliders. I need to start checking the different threads to get some good ideas for my future projects.

Nice to have another Idahoan on board, I don't think there are many of us. I'm running the 2927 springs on mine with stock bumper and no winch. You may want to get the one springs that are specific to the diesel. It was actually lifters failing in the earlier 3.7. I think a broken spring is less common. Might be wise to replace them all while you're at it
