Whats your favorite headlight bulb?
Sylvanias range from $25 to $50 per set at my local A.Z.
Its my kids Jeep and she drives a lot in the middle of the woods with no streetlights and lots of wildlife, but also a decent amount of highway and local driving.

I use silverstar ultras in mine and drive alot in monroe newtown area where they also dont believe in streetlights. They really light up the road compared to the original sylvania bulbs

I run Phillips Vision Plus.
$9.50 per pair!

At the time I was broke until payday and needed a new headlight
bulb. I figured I'd buy them 'cause they were cheap and then replace
them with better quality when I had more disposable income to burn.
The bulbs are really good actually.
Put out a good colour and a good spread of light.
Especially after getting rid of the bulb shield from in front of the bulb.
If I had to put a number to it, the light output has got to be at 70%
more.:killer:

I've wondered about those bulbs. I was looking for brighter bulbs for our old van, as the low beams were really dim and hard to see anything towards the edge of the road. I read a lot about different bulbs, and most places recommended the GE Nighthawk, but some also liked the Philips. I never did get around to buying either, but was curious on someone's actual input. I may have to try putting them in my Jeep.

Back to the OP...you may look into the GE Nighthawks as well. I've read they're suppose to be really good. Stay away from any bulb that is "blued" though. The blue coating filters light, causing a narrower spectrum to be projected, and has been proven to actually reduce visibility.
