Okay I just did that this morning in about 20 minutes without coffee.

The clutch and freewheel definitely in the cause. The bearing decided it no longer wanted to do bearing things, and there are balls physically missing. If that allowed the hub the belt rides on to shift enough to make contact with the magnetic coil, which smoked the ever living hell out of it. Currently can't get the coil off, but I think there might be a snap ring buried somewhere in there underneath all the melted plastic. That's a problem for future sota. :)

For now, I can at least complete the first part of my trip without having something come completely apart at speed.
There is definitely a snap ring under there. If you put a puller on it and crank it without removing said snap ring, you will destroy the compressor. Ask me how I know…

Reminds me of when our ac cratered three days into our honeymoon. We did okay up in the mountains, but returning to Texas was a drag.

Found the elusive unicorn, 2003 jeep liberty in the yard with renegade setup. Pulled all but the steps as the forklift did a number on them and i plan to make my own. Also found a jeep in the yard with the 45rfe transfer skid and pulled it as my 02 has the 45rfe.

Got a link to those wheels?
There are several sources for the wheels such as Method's website, 4WD Parts, trailbuilt.com and others can order them. They are pricey at $356/wheel. They only offer one style in matte black or bronze (out of stock at the moment). I am probably going to get the Falkin Wildpeak A/T4W tires in 235/75-17 to keep from rubbing with a 3 inch lift. I currently run the K02 in 235/85-16 and get rubbing when turning tightly. I will loose about 1/2 inch in ground clearance.

What did the part number for that belt end up being, sorry if I missed what you actually bought. I want to make a note and keep it in my manual/book, as a just in case. I may end up grabbing one to have on hand. My AC (knock on wood) is so far so good, but I tend to make the comment to others, when I run the AC or defrost as it engages, it's almost like running another pair of cylinders on my motor so to speak as my fuel economy drops drastically. but if you need it you need it and lately it's been needed alot.
