The 2007 Jeep Liberty with 3" lift from @rockyroadoutfitters and @Jbaoffroad.com upper control arms is doing well in the dirt. Got a little bump stop action today with the dirtbike on the tail, but that is expected. The @rigidindustries baja ditch lights are so bright we could see lizards 20 yards away.

So im sure one maybe 2 fuel injectors where sticking intermittently as the jeep would puke fuel out the exhaust on start up and when idling in one spot for too long. Than, I'm sure i fried the rest trying to clean them. The filter screens where essentially gone and only a plastic and brass ring where left in the injectors. Upgraded to 12 hole fuel injectors. Idles smoother and seems to have got some power back.

12 hole? Jeez, I remember 4 hole injectors being the big mod on the 4.0 back in the day.

Mpg's hasn't seemed to change however I've only put maybe 25 miles on it since the swap, the computer is still learning as I reset it and maybe put my foot a little too much on the pedal as I was excited with it waking up a bit more. Oh I miss my 500hp chevelle.

Needed it running by Monday morning so I ordered some fuel injectors on Amazon that had good reviews as they where the only ones to get me running by Monday and where some brand that never heard of. Others I was interested in would not ship to my area or would take too long. I will search and replace them with bosh ones in the future however these seem like clones to me.

Anyone know how to be sure your built-in theft protection isn't preventing the Jeep from starting. My battery is good, all the usual lights on the dash come on when I turn the key, the gas gauge moves from zero to whatever is in the tank (just over half for me right now), etc., but the starter does not crank at all.

This happens to me every six months to a year or so and has done so for the past few years. It is sitting in the gym parking lot right now (I hope...) and I would like to give the mechanic a head start when it (hopefully) gets towed in tomorrow.

If it is the anti-theft that is the culprit, it will start and run for about a second or two, then die. This is if it is not sensing your Jeep’s chip key. If the vehicle is not starting at all, I suspect you have a different cause.

All my tools are loaded up in my jeep. They fill up the trunk completely! Thankfully, my new company has a truck picked out for me, already. I’m just waiting on it to get out of the shop. In the meantime, I’m getting by with the older shop trucks.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of work? What kind of truck?

My Jeep was looked at this morning and just like the last time it starts right up for the mechanic every time...

I need to let them know something in the next hour or so. They offered to go ahead and replace the starter but are honest about the fact that they have no idea if it is necessary. I went back to where it died yesterday morning expecting it to start right up (previous times it would "just work" if I waited long enough), but no luck. They towed it in yesterday, looked at it this morning, but could find no problem.

What would you do in this situation?

I think I would have someone wiggle the wire to the starter solenoid while you are cranking it and see if it grounds out.
